Personal Experience

Amir Hamzah(AHZ) is a technology specialist with deep expertise in water injection performance management, engineered chemistry solutions, and innovative oil recovery technologies. With over 15 years of experience spanning software development, digital oilfield solutions, and production enhancement, he has led the creation of multiple in-house technologies that simplify complex engineering workflows and unlock significant operational value.

At Vision Petroleum, AHZheads the development of Krystal, a full-cycle Water Injection Performance Management system that integrates surface and subsurface data, technical standards, analytics, and smart diagnostic tools. Beyond digital water injection solutions, AHZplays a central role in the development and commercialization of V6 Enhance Recovery Additive,a proprietary green technology for crude oil sludge recovery. His contributions include designing the deployment framework, operational workflow, performance assessment methodology, and data architecture for V6 operations. Amir has been directly involved in pilot testing across multiple terminals and refineries, including the successful recovery of 60,000 barrels at the Terengganu Crude Oil Terminal.

Previously, AHZ served as Software Developer Team Lead for the SWIM (Seawater Injection Management) system at Petrovision, where he championed a human-centric interface philosophy to simplify complex engineering analytics. He has also delivered IT and creative media consulting services for Clariant, enhancing technical reporting and competency development across the organization.

AHZ holds a Bachelor’s degree in ICT specialising in Virtual Reality & Multimedia Systems from Universiti Teknologi Petronas and continues to blend engineering, analytics, and creative problem-solving to develop impactful, technology-driven solutions for the oil and gas industry.
