Abdul Rahman Yunus (ARY) is a Malaysian born inventor, chemist and business entrepreneur. ARY is the founder of Vision Petroleum International and
currently acts as the Chief Technology Officer. ARY specialized in engineered chemistry and have more than 40 years experience in Oil & Gas industry.
ARY started his career with Exxon Chemical in 1984 as Product Application Specialist. Later he was relocated to Exxon Chemical R&D center in
Singapore to head the Corrosion and Integrity section for Asia Pacific. He also headed Exxon’s Water Injection group and acted as the Regional
Oil Spill Chemical Advisor for Asia Pacific. When ARY left Exxon after 10 years, he continues to pursue his passion in chemistry and engineering, and broaden
his experience with other multinational companies including Chemtech, Champion Technologies and Weatherford, as their Asia Pacific Technical Manager.
With vast experience in oil production technology, ARY started Vision Petroleum in 2013. ARY believes in technology advances and strive for excellence.
Over the last 20 years, ARY has been working in research & development in oil recovery technology and performance management analytics, specifically for Water Injection projects and program management for chemical application in Oil & Gas production. His discovery and invention, made him one of the most respected technologist in the industry. In 2010, he started to work on production technology for ‘unconventional reserve’ culminating in the formulation of V6, an enhanced recovery additive. In collaboration with PETRONAS Global
Technology Services, V6 have been proven as one of the most significant and strategic discovery in oil production technology. Being able to recover oil
from ‘unconventional reserve’ with minimal cost, and ensuring minimal carbon dioxide emission, made V6 a disruptive product with potential game changing technology in the near future. Currently, ARY is working on enhancing the V6 capability and extending the technology to other application including for subsea flow assurance applications. ARY continues his work with data analytics and hopes to launch the extraordinary CloudNotes and Krypton in the near future.
